As for a long time, Diesel Fuel can be purchased at Outpost (resource vending machine) for 300 Low Grade Fuel.

Just a small patch of what was said previously the excavator has got some changes with the ressources excavated You now get the amout for 1 Diesel Fuel -Stone : about 10000 -Metal Fragments : about 5000 -Sulfur Ore : about 2000 -High Quality Metal Ore : about 100 It's always good to know the drops and ressources you get so here it is

Take diesels if you can, best monuments are large oil, power plant, water treatment, missile silo and military tunnels each yielding 3 diesels. Then others which yield only 2.
Its extremely sought after by big clans who plan to control quarries/excavator, and later in wipe can even be used as a very valuable resource to trade with others (5x diesel = tier 2 workbench) or (3x diesel = red keycard) and so on.
As a solo it is too risky to go control quaries/excavators, so except trading diesel has really no use for a solo.

I suggest picking up barrels throughout your travels in monuments like the junkyard, the dome and the oil rigs. Once you have 4-5 of these go to the pit clear it carefully there is a bit of radiation that is countered by 10% protection (your armor once you have barrels will have that much) What you have to worry about are the scientists Once you clear it make your way to the control room, fuel the machine choose your resource and start it up . The exact numbers are Stone - 5,000 Metal - 2,000 Sulfur - 750 HQM - 40 per barrel I suggest having a trip with 3 people, 1 in the control room and one in each of the two giant pits the resources fall in, on opposite parts of the monument the radiation should keep off nakeds other players will come and fight for the resources that are mined

Looks like you can't pickup Diesel from Junkyard anymore, I searched everywhere and it doesn't spawn here anymore.
