High Velocity Arrow

The high velocity arrow is one of four ammo types for the crossbow, compound bow, and the bow. It can be shot further and faster than the normal arrow, however, it causes less damage.

Its greater expense and inferior damage makes this a poor outright substitute to the wooden arrow; however, where it does shine is in its ability to finish off a retreating enemy, or initiate on a distant one. Be aware that the latter tactic may backfire if the enemy doesn't find the engagement attractive, e.g, fresh-spawns and spear-nakeds. Revolvers and other high-velocity firearms will creep into this niche, making the HV arrow less viable from then on.
