To stab more quickly with a spear, have 2 in your hotbar, stab, and immediately after the stab makes contact with whatever it is touching, switch to the other spear. This will give you about 1 more second of quick spear stab animation. This is good for spear raiding and farming barrels. This also applies with the Stone Spear
