Leather Gloves

The minuscule damage reduction of the leather gloves is off-set by the tendency for the player to be shot in the chest rather than the legs, as well as the reduced cost in comparison to the boots. As was described, the protection of the gloves extend to the rest of the chest as well.

Leather gloves are very helpful to have since they reduce bullet damage by 5% for the chest. To put it into perspective, a road sign jacket and gloves have the same bullet protection as a metal chestplate.,

For those who live in the snow, but want good a full armor kit with good cold resistance that doesn't compromise projectile resistance. I would recommend metal face mask/coffee can for head, hoodie and jacket and leather gloves for torso, and roadsign kilt with pants and boots for legs. The torso projectile resistance is the same as roadsign, which is not as good as full metal, but it has the added benifit of not having the cold chip away at your health every few seconds.
