Binoculars

Binoculars are a cost-efficient way to spy on your unaware neighbors, or get a clear view of the surrounding land. They provide three levels of magnification (changed with the left mouse button), including one level far stronger than the zoom of a 4x scope. Cheap, easy to use, and can be a lifesaver when used by a smart and careful player.

This item is uncraftable. Not sure if this is an error, but it is listed as an experiment result from a tier 1 Workbench. I never got it from experimenting, and I'm pretty sure there's not supposed to be a blueprint for this item.

Agree, I've bug reported it several times that it is not possible to either research nor experiment it.

Useful on maps like Barren where there are long stretches of unobscured open land. Expensive for what utility they provide, but underutilized to the point where many players will ignore it when looting your body. Greatest application is in its ability to give insight on the loadout and player size of distant groups.

Press middle mouse button while using them to ping. The ping lasts a few seconds, and is visible to your teammates. Long press to open a radial menu with options for different pings. If you mark something directly, the ping changes accordingly. (node, enemy, etc)
