Supply Signal

A purple smoke grenade that calls in an airdrop somewhere in a small radius around it. Can be found as a rare drop in Military and Elite Crates. When you use this item, it will release a plume of purple smoke that can let players who are far away know that there may be individuals who just called in an airdrop. A Cargo Plane will spawn somewhere in the sky and will release the payload to your location shortly. Calling for an airdrop to your base, especially one with high walls or a nearby monument (water pump stations, oilrig) is a fair choice. It may deter other players from looting the payload or, if you're feeling 'spicy', may bring the pvp to your front door.

You want action, throw it somewhere close by.
You want distract people from the helicopter, throw this one.
You hate everyone, grap some ladders, get some diving suite and climb up a ice block in the water, where no one lives. Throw it there and get sniped.

Solo tip, grab a boat and get far away from land throw it in the water but dont forget that the airdrop will sink so grab diving gear

You probably don't want to signal an airdrop onto your base because it causes you to get raided.

Be careful if you decide to throw the supply signal, as other people will come and possibly raid you if they see the supply drop falling in the air or if they see the purple smoke.

If you play solo and want to drop a supply signal very far from coast to be as safe as possible, NEVER, NEVER get past 15 grids from X grid. The boat will despawn and you will instantly die to cold.

drop the supply signal on oil rig if you don't have a compound this will make it so you only have to guard one way instead of multiple

The icon of the Supply Signal shows a purple stripe on the bottom of the canister, on the model spawned when thrown this isn't present as it is the same as the normal smoke grenade.

You want to call in the airdrop from your base but don't want others to see the purple smoke giving you away? Close your garage door, and attach the airdrop to your garage door (right click while hugging the door). When you open the garage door, the canister will dissapear, so does the purple smoke, but the airdrop is still heading your way!
