Handmade Fishing Rod

Handmade Fishing Rod is a tool used to catch fishes as well as junks that might come in handy. To use the Handmade Fishing Rod, hold RMB and cast out with LMB. Once you've got a bait ready to go simply aim at the water while holding RMB and cast out with LMB. Once you've got a bite, you'll need to reel in the fish. You can use A/D to pull left and right and S to reel the fish in.

Hold [LMB] instead of [S] to reel in to prevent yourself from moving backwards after you've made your catch. 'Tire out the fish' by using [A] or [D] to make it easier to reel in. Use the Raw Fish from your gutted low level fish or anything with bait level 5 or higher to get a chance at rare fish.

Enjoy safe fishing in the bandit camp waters. there's quite a lot of Catfish and Salmonds there, which often have a blue keycard in their belly, that can be sold for 40 scrap in bandit as well.
Fishing and gutting the fishes, is now also the fastest way to get animal fat to craft the low grade for your first furnaces.
We did a test: 3 people, fishing in bandit for 20 minutes gave us enough animal fat to craft 850 low grade

If you sell hemp, fish, fertilizer or corn you can fish at the bandit camp while you wait for the produce exchange to restock.
Switch between 2 fishing rods to fish faster. Credit to tamaru77.
Make sure you look at the fish if it goes to far left or right else you'll lose the fish.
You can fish from the ladders at fishing village.

If you are fishing in a savezone and somebody hits your bobber, they will be marked as hostile.

You can use any of the lower chance bait from 0.5 to 2.5 to catch tarp and water jugs, great for a farm if you wanna keep making more cloth, food and compost. The diving fins are also good if you have a water base.
I recommend human meat for this, since you can end up finding most nakeds along the beach that are afk/offline.
