High Velocity Rocket

The High Velocity Rocket is essentially a rocket with much less damage than the standard rocket. However, it is also much cheaper, and as the name suggests it has a higher velocity than the standard rocket, so it could be useful for rocketing targets at extreme range. Because of its lower cost and damage, it is useful for situations where a full rocket would be overkill.

As of the upcoming September update, both this and the Rocket Launcher are cheaper and Tier 2 items, with the rockets not requiring any Explosives.

Best utilized against the bradley tank. Also extremely effective against patrol heli if you can land your shots

High-Velocity rockets should only be used as combat, as it is very cheap to make. These have relatively low bullet drop, so try not to overestimate it while shooting an enemy with this.
Normal rockets have a much higher bullet drop and are much more expensive. Only use this for combat during a dire situation during a raid.

Despite being a tier 2 blueprint, the only way to find high velocity rockets is to take down either the [url=https://rustlabs.com/entity/patrol-helicopter]Patrol Helicopter[/url] or the [url=https://rustlabs.com/entity/bradley-apc]Bradley APC[/url].

The niche where these rockets shine is taking out turrets. 3 HV rockets (600 Sulfur) is the cheapest way to destroy a turret besides a compound bow.

Contrary to what somebody has said in Tips, the patrol heli is not a collidable object (cannot be hit by projectiles like a rocket), however, HV rockets can be used to shoot a Chinook down and are the most efficient way of taking Bradley but are completely useless towards the patrol heli.

Best method of blowing up deployables, vehicles, players. Not practical at all against buildings.
