if you playing on a vanilla server, you can use the NVG to mine nodes and chop trees at night! the chances of a naked with DB jumps you is low.

While wearing Night Vision Goggles, you can see in the dark...but the green laser and the glow of the eyepieces make you more visible than normal as well.
