Bolt Action Rifle
The Bolt Action Rifle is a powerful late game rifle that offers high accuracy and high damage at the cost of speed. Having the most damage and least spread of any weapon, it is often used as a designated sniper rifle, and is commonly fitted with a scope to increase the sight range for the user. Its slow rate of fire greatly limits its use in close quarters combat, and its limited capacity forces users to take shots very carefully. Having a very fast bullet velocity, users need not lead targets or compensate for gravity as much as with other weapons firing a slower bullet.

Silencer Silencer is best used for closer range engagements (200m~) Remove for longer range engagements (400-500m) and equip HV-5.56 Rifle Ammunition. (The reason you should remove the silencer for long range engagements is because it reduces the damage of any weapon by 25% AND your damage drops off on longer range shots. Your bullets will also lose velocity when using a silencer.
Equipping a silencer will remove bullet tracers completely, and bullet impacts are not as visible compared to not using a silencer on the Bolt Action.

When it comes to fighting at longer ranges, especially against scientists (or players who make similar sporadic movements), bullet drop could be a total dealbreaker, even when using HV rifle ammo. The solution to this is to practice and be able to estimate the drop at certain ranges, then accounting for that by aiming upwards so the shots will drop directly onto your target. To make sure there is as little drop as possible, make sure there are no barrel attachments (as those dramatically lower velocity) and load your rifle with HV rounds. A laser sight and tactical gloves can reduce the sway without needing the suppressor.
