8x Zoom Scope

The 8x Zoom Scope is a hand-crafted telescopic sight. Its reticle is simply a thin cross. Its magnification allows for greater precision over long ranges and extending most weapon's range, but is not ideal for close quarter engagements.

  1. The 4x scope is a situational attachment, due to its high cost of 50 HQ it is not crafted often. Though the scope reduces recoil, this has no effect on pattern weapons for now. It is also important to note the 4x will make using fast firing guns harder, especially at closer ranges. This is due to the lower sensitivity which makes shooting at further distances easier.
  2. The only weapons worth using this attachment are the Assault Rifle, Bolt, And M249 as these are the most effective weapons at long distances.
  3. A Lasersight is a great mod to use with the 4x scope because of the reduced aim sway making long shots easier to hit.

Excellent to add on L96, Bolt Action Rifle, or M39. It's designed for ranged guns and can be crafted for the 50 HQM. Must be used with laser sight also. If you can, use tactical gloves also when sniping.
8x is much more commonly used than 16x, since 8x allows you to still PvP at close distances. 16x is useless except for raid or base protection.

The 8x has since been updated, no longer descreasing recoil by 20% but increasing it by 50%. This makes it useful mostly on bolt action, l96, and M39, although I've found that it is still good on HMLMG and M249 with some practice.
