Motor Rowboat

The Motor Rowboat is a surprisingly cheap transport vehicle that can be bought at fishing villages or found near shores, however can only be used to navigate the ocean. It requires low grade fuel to run and can fit 3 passengers and 1 driver. It also has a small stash in the front for extra storage. It is commonly used for searching sunken chests with diving equipments, looting junkpiles on water and serves as an option to access Oil Rigs. The rowboat is exposed to ranged weapons and you can be shot from anywhere. However, switching seats while the engine is still on will not force the boat to stop. So, you can heal and shoot enemies targeting you. You can also dismount from the boat and shoot Oil Rig scientists from far away.

you can change seats when driving and if the Motor is still on the boat will continue in the direction it was facing when you change seats. This makes it so you can shoot and have the boat moving to make yourself a harder target.

If the driver's seat is left unattended, after around 15 sec (I haven't timed it), it will start to turn abruptly. So, you have time to heal/shoot, and come back.
To change seat, simply press X.

If you want to drop a supply signal very far from coast, NEVER, NEVER get past 15 grids from X grid. The boat will despawn and you will instantly die to cold for some reason

It looks like this boat isn't decaying when it's inside (with a roof above).

Don't know about any updates that would change the decaying of the boat, but for some reason now 4 boats have decayed inside one of my boathouses while in the other they are fine.(2021 feb)

When buying this boat at the fishing village, it comes with 50 low grade fuel. You have 5 minutes to remove your boat from the shop or else the seller will repossess the boat.

Can be easily destroyed by a diver using nearly any bladed weapons, mace or salvaged hammer even. So bring one with you, if you wanna take out their method of escape or to force them into water with you. Just be aware they might have a speargun or a melee of their own.
